7 REASONS YOUR CLOTHES LOOK CHEAP

Imperfect fit — Clothes that fit properly look expensive. If a shoulder is too narrow or a sleeve is too wide, or a pant leg is too long or wide, the cloth is going to look cheap even if it costs $1000! Fit is expensive, PERIOD.

Sloppy finishing — improperly aligned prints, droopy buttons, loose threads and uneven creases will make your garment look really cheap. Carefully inspect pieces for such imperfections before buying them.

Embroidery, beading or sequins — The problem is that they start to fall off and make an even expensive piece look cheap! Another problem is that they could look tacky.

Graphic prints on shirts and pants — They just look cheap. Yes! That’s just it. You would rather do a plain T-shirt.

Pairing with a placket belt buckle — Even if you wear a $10,000 suit with a placket belt buckle, your entire outfit will look cheap! Big or small, placket belt buckles are a deal-breaker. Choose the right type of belt and your outfit quality will look consistent from head to toe.

Poor choice of jewelry — Jewelry is supposed to be the icing on the cake. Choosing a fake-looking jewelry can throw your whole outfit outside through the window. Bad jewelry equals cheap-looking outfits. Be very selective of the jewelry you choose so that your effort on looking classy and sassy does not get spoilt by one piece of metal.

Terrible choice of shoes — If you wear a worn out shoe with very expensive-looking clothes, I will most likely notice the terrible-looking shoes before I get awed by the expensive-looking clothes. Bad choice of shoes will make your whole outfit look wrong and inconsistent.
